Data Entry Tech - Temporary (Quality Improvement)

Company Overview: Our client is a leading healthcare company in Orange County, providing health services to one in four residents. We are currently looking for a highly motivated Data Entry Tech to support the Quality Improvement department. This temporary role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth data management and process support to maintain high-quality standards in service delivery.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine to complex data entry tasks and providing administrative support for the Quality Improvement team. This role will involve ensuring that all relevant data is accurately entered and maintained, assisting with credentialing files, and supporting outreach efforts as needed.

Work Duration: Up to 6 months

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Work Type: Onsite

Position Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely data entry for various documents, files, and data sources within the Quality Improvement department.

• Conduct outreach calls as necessary for data entry purposes, ensuring accurate information collection.

• Alert supervisor of any issues that may impact the quality or production of data entered.

• Ensure all Protected Health Information (PHI) is securely stored and locked at the end of the day.

• Assist in preparing and organizing credentialing files and ensuring data entry is completed in a timely manner.

• Respond to inquiries from internal staff and providers regarding credentialing status and other related data.

• Assist with other projects or administrative tasks as assigned to support department objectives and operations.

• Ability to develop rapport and maintain effective working relationships with CalOptima Health leadership, staff, and external contacts at all levels.

• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple tasks.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data management systems.

• Ability to organize, analyze, and problem-solve in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Ability to visually read information from computer screens, forms, and printed materials.

• Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively in conversation and over the phone.

• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform data entry tasks.

• Ability to lift and move objects weighing between 10 and 25 pounds as required.

• Indoor office environment with moderate noise levels.

• The work environment is generally sedentary, with some schedule flexibility and occasional travel as needed.

• There are no harmful environmental conditions associated with this position.

Experience & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• 1 year of data entry experience or relevant administrative support experience.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

• Experience in a managed healthcare environment.

• Knowledge or experience in provider data and/or credentialing systems.
