Job Description

Join our team as a Manual Lathe Operator and play a vital role in our manufacturing process. As a Manual Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating a manual lathe machine to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.

Duties:

Set up, operate, or tend lathe to turn, bore, thread or face bronze.

Read blueprints.

Adjust machine controls, do offsets and change tool settings in order to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.

Inspect work pieces to verify conformance with specifications, using instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

Lift bronze castings or semi-finished pieces using a hoist, and position and secure them in machines, using fasteners and hand tools.

Position, secure, and align cutting tools in tool holders on machines, using hand tools, and verify their positions with measuring instruments.

Follow all safety procedures.

Strong attention to detail.

Maintain a clean work area.
