JOB DESCRIPTION:
Administer all aspects of health and welfare benefit plans to include health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, supplemental disability, life, medical spending accounts, and 401(k) plans. Champion company's wellness initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Administer open enrollments, ensuring accuracy of employee benefit choices.
Manage Company wellness initiatives.
Take care of all day-to-day administering of health and welfare benefit programs to include health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life, medical spending accounts, 401(k), COBRA, and maintaining of records.
Coordinate daily benefit processing: enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, etc. to include employee and retiree benefit notifications.
Audit and process new hire benefit packets, verifying new hire elections are correct and timely.
Audit and process monthly bills for all benefit group plans.
Administer company 401(k) plans including processing enrollment and terminations, distribution packets, and maintaining completed files with appropriate documents.
Handle employee benefit separation materials.
Maintain employee files.
Payroll backup.
Collaborate and communicate with the HR team to ensure employee inquiries are addressed and communicated effectively and efficiently.
Counsel, advise and provide guidance to employees, management and HR regarding benefit programs.
Maintains Affirmative Action Plan.
Maintains I-9 files.
Special projects as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years benefit experience in Human Resources
Working knowledge of COBRA, ADA, FMLA, DOL, ERISA, etc. regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills needed, demonstrated customer service orientation.
Strong problem solving, organizational, time management skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic, service-oriented team.
Payroll experience desired
EDUCATION:
SHRM, CEBS, PHR, and/or associate or bachelor's degree in human resources preferred.
PAY:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Climate controlled office environment.
Minimal Physical requirements other than occasional light lifting of boxed materials (10 lbs.).
Standing, bending, and twisting required for filing and other general office tasks.
