RSC CENTER FOR WORKFORCE EXCELLENCE ANNOUNCES A PART-TIME HOURLY POSITION IN KIDS COLLEGE/TEEN SCENE
Position: K-12 Programs Assistant (Part-Time)
Description of Duties: Responsible for providing transportation, classroom assistance, and meal distribution for the after-school program at the LEAD Center. Supports student engagement and program operations in alignment with the AOPA curriculum. Safely transport students from Midwest City Middle School to the LEAD Center using a 15-passenger van. Ensure student safety during transit and while boarding/exiting the vehicle. Support the lead instructor in delivering the AOPA curriculum to students. Assist with student engagement and ensure adherence to classroom expectations. Help facilitate learning activities and provide support as needed. Complete required Food Bank training and adhere to food handling procedures. Assist in distributing snacks and dinner to students. Foster a safe and structured environment for students. Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for learning and engagement. Perform oversight and assist employees in proper records management of all physical and electronic office correspondence to include, but not be limited to, filing, scanning, copying, safeguarding, encryption, and destruction of sensitive materials. Regular attendance and excellent customer service are essential functions of this position. Report progress of assigned duties to Director of K-12 Programs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Work under supervision. Receive training and guidelines from the Director of K-12 Programs.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Ability to pass a background check and meet all required safety standards. Must have a valid driver's license. Light lifting up to 30 lbs. and light carrying up to 30 lbs. required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping.
Desired Qualifications: Prior experience in youth programming, education, or transportation services. Experience working with after-school community programs.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
An unofficial degree conferring transcripts must be received by this office for formal consideration; however, should an offer of employment be extended, official transcripts are required.
