We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our team and expand our presence in the educational sector for the Mid-Atlantic region. Ideal candidate lives in the region: Baltimore, Philadelphia, DC area.

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with private schools and colleges. You will promote and sell our food service solutions, including meal programs, catering services, and specialized dining options, to key decision-makers in the education sector. This is a target-driven role where you will work closely with schools and universities to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions that enhance their dining experiences.

Salary + Commission

What you'll do:

Identify and prospect potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and online research.

Present and demonstrate our products/services to potential clients, highlighting their unique features and benefits.

Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.

Focus on Institutions of higher learning that meet SAGE's mission.

Create complex proposals that lead to new business growth.

Represent SAGE within the client community. Maintain and cultivate strong professional relationships with the decision makers in current and potential client locations.

Work with regional operations team on new account development and the opening process.

Identify potential business opportunities, call upon these opportunities and close them in the assigned region.

What you'll need:

Strong demonstrated communication skills, including experience and competency in public speaking.

Microsoft Office Literacy: Outlook, MS Excel, Powerpoint & Word.

Ability to travel extensively.

Planning and organizational proficiency.

High energy, positive attitude, superior ethics.

Excellent problem solving skills.

Prior sales training a plus.

Salesforce.com experience a plus.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Excellent negotiation and closing skills.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.

Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team.

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities.

Minimum five years of proven sales experience.
