Senior Naval Architect

Navis are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Naval Architect to join our dynamic marine engineering client. This position is a key role in leading and managing various aspects of marine engineering projects from conceptual design to construction and delivery. You will utilize your expertise in naval architecture to develop solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. This position will work closely with the commercial team to co-ordinate and help organize project flows and help with the delivery of design and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop scopes definitions for projects.

Communicate and collaborate effectively and be collaborative with the team and project stakeholders.

Ability to review and perform detailed calculations, simulations, and engineering analyses to assess and validate design concepts and specifications.

Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual design, and preliminary analysis to evaluate design options to propose optimal solutions.

Utilize advance software tools and simulation techniques to model, analyze and optimize vessel performance, stability and structural integrity.

Be able to liaise with clients, flag state regulators, classification societies and shipyards to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and project specifications.

Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project presentations.

Qualifications Required:

Masters of Engineering in Naval Architecture

Professional Engineer (P.Eng)

Mandatory Software Skills:

Autocad

Rhino

Autodesk PDM Collection including Recap, Inventor, Nastran

Microsoft Suite

Maxsurf and GHS
