We are currently seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant for our Columbus, OH location. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical setting that treats Behavioral/Mental Health, Chemical Dependency/SUD including MAT, and/or provides Psychiatry services. Shifts will be Monday- Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with the possibility to travel between the two locations.

The STNA will be in charge of greeting incoming patients/vendors, answering phones, rooming, incoming patients, scheduling, and charting/communicating with the medical management staff.

Essential Functions:

Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.

Complies with all state and federal laws regarding protected health information.

Maintains complete and current medical records regarding all clients served.

Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation

Attend and participate in agency/ team/clinical meetings, including mandatory trainings, and treatment coordination

Meets and sustains the OhioGuidestone designated productivity standard.

Ensure that the medical room is prepared and ready for exams and assist with any procedures and exams as directed by the provider or nurse.

Point of care testing and preparing samples for pick up and phlebotomy.

Conducts direct, observed urinalysis and provides targeted case management and Community Psychiatric support Treatment (CPST) services to monitor client symptoms and gather relevant information to support providers in upcoming appointments

Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.

Review discharge instruction and support patient in regard to questions and concerns prior to leaving the office.

Must be able to operate a computer and other position related technologies

Must be able to verbally exchange information in a confidential manner with employees, clients, students, participants, and/or families in various settings

Efficiently schedule and reschedule client appointments

Must be able to clearly and confidentially communicate with OhioGuidestone employees, clients, students, participants, and other stakeholders

Meets and sustains the Agency’s designated productivity standard.

Travel to all Agency sites as needed.

Maintains reliable attendance.

Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.

Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.

Education & Experience:

High school education or equivalent required.

Successful completion of an accredited Certified State Tested Nursing Assistant program required.

CDCA licensure, preferred. CDCA licensure obtained within the first 3 months of employment, required.

QMHS Credential, preferred. QMHS credential obtained within 3 months of employment, required.

Minimum of 1 year of related Certified STNA experience required.

Demonstrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience required, Evolv preferred.

Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records, etc.

Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs.

Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.

Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.
