A well-established General Contractor based in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional with a proven background in diverse commercial projects to be a key contributor on high-impact builds throughout the Austin, TX.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong technical knowledge, accuracy, and efficiency to every bid. Experience working for a General Contractor is required. Must have experience with ground up Multi Family projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and develop detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for a variety of commercial construction projects.

Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and drawings.

Perform accurate quantity take-offs using leading software tools.

Solicit, review, and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define scopes of work and budget parameters.

Maintain organized documentation throughout the estimating process.

Participate in value engineering, budgeting, and preconstruction activities as needed.

Project Types:

The ideal candidate will have experience estimating a range of commercial project types, including:

Retail and Restaurant Spaces

Office Buildings and Corporate Spaces

Big Box Developments

Industrial and Manufacturing Facilities

Other ground-up and renovation commercial projects

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as an Estimator, Project Manager, or Engineer within the commercial construction industry.

Demonstrated experience working for a General Contractor.

Proficiency with SAGE Estimating software.

Skilled in digital take-off tools such as On-Screen Takeoff or PlanSwift.

Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and directly with clients.

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
