Description:
As a Manufacturing Campus Controller located in Montgomery IL, you will be the financial leader for the business at the manufacturing site as well as a key leader of the corporate accounting & finance team. The Manufacturing Campus Controller is accountable for partnering with business and site leadership to develop business processes to steward and proactively understand operation spend. This role will partner with key leaders to advance business strategies and create a positive and effective work environment. This role plays a key role in helping the business leverage the Infor Syteline ERP system to understand results and drive profitable action.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ownership of Plant P&L, inventory (working capital), annual budget, month and quarterly forecasts, and financial comparisons and explanations of actual results versus the financial estimates
Coordinate and manage month-end close procedures ensuring accurate recording of revenue, manufacturing cost, and plant operating expenses
Partner with the Plant Management teams to ensure clear understanding of performance versus targets and prior year, identifying areas for improvement and assisting in prioritization.
Provides leadership and coordinates alignment across the operating units towards financial goals
Analyze month-end results and provide summary commentary on drivers of performance versus benchmarks
Thorough understanding of variance to budget, forecast, and prior year and identify opportunities for margin improvements and expense reductions
Conduct weekly reviews of production order variances to identify unusual variances, report root causes, and drive remediation where applicable
Ad-hoc analysis of financial and operating metrics to support business needs
Monitor and work with plant management on Continuous Improvement initiatives and validate savings
Complete manufacturing standard setting and maintenance processes as required
Coordinate the operating units annual budget process with a complete understanding of opportunities and risks
Provide key decision support to manufacturing plant and support safety and operating initiatives
Frequent interaction with corporate and finance teams related to both BU and corporate accounting priorities
Ensures the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and provide required information
Monitors plant operation results against operating plans and directs the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs · Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process. Recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costsRequirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
Public accounting experience in audit/assurance or advisory preferred
Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Superior analytical and communication skills
Demonstrated process improvement implementation
CPA or CMA preferred
5-10+ years’ experience with progressively increasing responsibility in accounting/finance in a manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Full-time
