Job Description

The In-Process Inspector is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met to support the production needs

Report any problem with the machine or mold to the molding technician or supervisor immediately

Read and follow instruction on the Q.A.R (Quality Assurance Requirements) for each starts up

Performs visual and gauging inspection as noted on the Q.A.R

Maintain control charts as noted on the Q.A.R

Reports any qualify related problems to the Molding Technician and Quality Auditor

Separate runners from production, if needed

Perform material handing as required for product

Perform material handing as required for product

Follow and support the Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions

Follow company safety rules and policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor/ Molding Technician

Strive to be contributive and supportive member of our GW Plastics San Antonio organization, displaying a cooperative and positive attitude towards our Company, including it policies & procedures and employees

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/ GED

Math aptitude

Communication skills

Computer literate (plus)

Gage Training (desired)

Physical Demand:

Requires standing, lifting, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and Ladders. Requires wearing personal protective safety equipment. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Working Environment:

Indoor and outdoor work, walking, standing, sitting, hearing, bending, crouching. Employee may be subject to extreme noise, extreme temperatures, uneven ground, and hazardous conditions. Ability to operate an assigned Clients motor vehicle. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Shift work and holiday hours are required.

Shift Specifics:

Monday - Friday

4pm to 12am

12am to 8am

Thursday - Sunday

8pm to 8am

12 hour shifts rotating days and nights with 36 and 48 work hours per/week.
