Senior Java/API Developer (Remote Start)

Job Description

This is a Contract to Hire model - conversion between 6 - 12 Months.

Top Responsibilities:

-Java, Microservices, Kubernetes, Azure, Cosmos DB, lots of middleware APIs

-The resource will be responsible to develop Microservices from scratch digital application requirements

-perform unit test, performance test

-coordinate with Devops team for deployment

-complete test coverage

-security scan validation...

Required Qualifications:

- Skills/tools = Senior level Java IDE, postman, SOAP UI

- extensive experience in java development, spring boot, Kubernetes

- Azure cloud services such as cosmos db, application insight, APIM. Or strong AWS

- Minimum 5 years of experience is in developing complex requirements.

- Must have 3+ years of experience in Java/Spring/JSF/Springboot .

- Ability to write complex sql queries, Stored procedure and other DB objects.

-Should have experience working in Linux environment.

-Should have experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Github etc.

- Should be able to co-ordinate between onshore and offshore team.

-Sound analytical skills to solve complex production defects.

- Willingness to support the production environment outside of business hours.

They will accepted AWS but need to know how to deploy and they can train them on Azure. Azure is a key partner for client so we’ll need to find out where he gained exposure if so. They are continuing to leverage APIs and have no plans to stop (hence microservices & Kubernetes). They should know how to build from scratch, design, implement these solutions.

• Git (contributions on Github++)

• Scripted environments experience

• Configuration as code experience

• Infrastructure experience

• Operations experience

• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience

• Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) experience

• Database change automation experience

What are the work hours? 8 AM -5 PM PST. Since the candidate will need to provide support for production environment, there will be quite a few occasion to provide support outside of business hours or over the weekend.
