Development Intern

Position Summary: The Development intern partakes in development work assignments and problems, with the guidance and training of a senior developer. This position serves to connect the intern's academic experience and training in information technology and computer programming to the analysis, design, modification, and maintenance of application programs, integrated systems, and/or software solutions.

Responsibilities:

Develop programming code and software modifications using appropriate languages and tools to provide responsive and innovative solutions, and new functionality

Write documentation to provide user support for programs and for productions/operating procedures

Develop, maintain and support associated databases

Analyze user needs, determine and evaluate potential solutions, understand system specifications and requirements, and design code to meet the requirements

Analyze data requirements, develop and document data dictionaries

Collaborate on the software testing and QA process

Contribute to team meetings that determine future development on existing products Qualifications

Education and Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Or actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field Required Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft SQL

Software life cycle experience Preferred Qualifications:
