JOB SUMMARY
The SAP ABAP Developer will be part of the SAP team responsible for the development of technical designs, build, test and break/fix support for system testing and end user testing. You will work with the user group and functional SME, process designers to fit/gap PIP’s requirements and recommend solutions for any gaps. Further you will be key for developing and maintaining the SAP applications, ensuring seamless support to PIP systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze the needs and requirements of SAP users
Design, code, test, debug, and implement SAP modules using ABAP programming language
Ensure compliance with SAP system architectural standards during development
Modify and enhance existing SAP applications to improve functionality or address user needs
Develop technical specifications and create detailed plans for coding programs
Perform regular system checks to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues
Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
Collaborate with other SAP professionals to resolve coding issues and optimize performance
Train and support SAP end-users, ensuring they understand how to use the new or updated applications
Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP updates and industry trends to ensure developed applications are compatible with evolving technologies
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Over 5 years of proven experience as a SAP developer, with a focus on diverse implementations in SAP modules.
Expertise in ABAP Workbench, ABAP OO, CDS views, oData, Restful ABAP, Fiori and SAPUI5.
Worked in ECC and S4 environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Techno functional experience and qualities is highly preferred.
Worked in systems that process very high-volume data, optimize code ensuring performance and scalability
In-depth and advanced knowledge of SAP development tools.
Hands-on experience with advanced SAP Web Technologies.
Mastery of SAP development life cycles and standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in SAP technology
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Experience with other ERP systems such as Epicor Eclipse is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
