Summary The Call Center Associate handles all incoming calls, taking messages and relaying information in response to customer inquires, as well as operating the overhead paging system and pagers and recording in call logs.
Education High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Certification, Registration & Licensure None required.
Experience A minimum of three months related experience in a health care environment and/or training in high volume call center operations.
Responsibilities * Initiates pages and emergency codes.
* Handles all incoming calls and inquiries on the switchboard and answering service.
* Calls are processed within departmental guidelines.
* Utilizes Call Center software, hardware and other hospital resources.
* Completes Release Of Information Requests After Hours.
* Enters and updates data in the On Call schedule accurately to promote quality patient care.
* Accesses the Electronic Medical Record to communicate patient appointments.
* Acts as the Resource Person on specified shift.
* Performs Daily Duties as assigned.
