SECRETARIAL POSITION - CLERICAL I-A HIGHVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide a variety of secretarial support to the assigned administrators and the department, establishing and maintaining records; coordinating and completing assigned projects, and compiling and distributing a wide variety of material and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or GED, Associate's Degree Preferred.

* Fluent in oral and written English and Arabic preferred.

* Type a minimum of 50 words per minute.

* Work-related experience is beneficial.

* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the handling of records and information.

* Ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally, and electronically.

* Ability to work as an effective team member.

* Ability to handle multiple issues/responsibilities with attention to detail and minimal supervision.

* Knowledge of general office operations and equipment use.

* Excellent human relations and communication skills.

* Excellent record-keeping skills.

* Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms.

* Experience with MISTAR and SMART preferred.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Receive, screen, and route telephone calls and incoming correspondence.

* Respond to general inquiries.

* Ability to develop spreadsheets, use databases, and do word processing.

* Compiles data (e.g., work orders, budget reports, specialized reports, time sheets, personnel records, etc.) to prepare reports or process requests.

* Processes various documents and materials (e.g., time sheets, work orders, requisitions, invoices, etc.) to disseminate information in compliance with established guidelines.

* Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records (e.g., work orders, time sheets, expense reimbursement requests, etc.) to provide up-to-date information and/or historical reference per established administrative guidelines and legal requirements.

* Coordinates and completes assigned projects and/or program components (e.g., proper distribution of materials to a variety of departments, arrangements for conferences, meetings, travel requirements, etc.) to complete activities and/or deliver services in a timely fashion.

* Monitors various activities on behalf of the Principal to achieve the goals and meet target dates in compliance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.

* Reconcile account balances for assigned budget categories to maintain accurate account balances.

* Communicates with other employees, departments, administrators, applicants, and the public to provide information and assistance related to Hillcrest Elementary School.

* Performs such other duties as assigned by the Principal.
