Posting Information Position Title Assistant Professor - Criminal Justice and Criminology Job Posting Number 2025050TTL Job Location San Marcos Department School of Criminal Justice and Criminology Position Description The School of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Texas State University invites applicants for a full-time (nine-month) tenure track faculty position at the rank of an advanced assistant professor to begin Fall 2025.
The school has approximately 1,300 baccalaureate students, 75 master's students, and 40 doctoral students.
Twenty-five full-time faculty educate our students and engage in a wide range of research endeavors.
Responsibilities include high-quality research, undergraduate and graduate level teaching, and university, professional, and community service.
All positions are subject to availability of funds.
Required Qualifications * Earned Ph.D.
in criminal justice, criminology, or related field.
* Evidence of peer-reviewed publications.
Preferred Qualifications * Experience mentoring and publishing with graduate students.
* Evidence of effective undergraduate and graduate teaching that serves the school's needs.
* Evidence of service in academic settings.
* Potential for high-quality and sustained scholarly productivity.
