Civil Designer

Job Title: Civil DesignerJob Description We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our Site Development group.

This position offers a dynamic role involving design, calculation, and plan preparation from concept design through bid drawings, with opportunities for construction administration.

Our Site Development group provides design services to municipalities, institutions, college campuses, retail, commercial, and private developers.

Projects include utilities such as waterlines, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers; stormwater management; grading and earthwork; green infrastructure; streetscapes; roads; parks; master planning; and trails/shared use paths.

Responsibilities + Design, calculation, and plan preparation from concept design through bid drawings with opportunities for construction administration.

+ Develop detailed site layout plans, grading plans, utility plans, and roadway alignments using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ Create and modify surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and pipe networks.

+ Prepare construction documents including plan and profile sheets, cross-sections, and detail drawings.

+ Coordinate with survey teams to integrate topographic and boundary data into design models.

+ Maintain and apply CAD standards and templates for consistency across projects.

+ Utilize Civil 3D tools for stormwater modeling, utility design, and grading optimization.

Essential Skills + Proficiency in Civil engineering + Expertise in Civil 3D + Land development experience + Site design capabilities + Experience in civil site and site development + Ability to work with grading + Knowledge in AutoCAD Civil 3D + Stormwater design skills + EIT certification Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5+ years of site civil design experience across various project types including municipalities, subdivisions, commercial, retail, and schools.

+ Ability to hit the ground running and work independently.

+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Civil Engineering is a plus.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
