Responsible for interacting and influencing FedEx Freight, Sales and 3PL leadership on a variety of matters including overall 3PL/LTL pricing strategy and development of strategic plans; routinely interact with senior leadership as well as collaborate closely with the Costing, Measurement Reporting & Analysis (MRA), Operations, and Financial Planning teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Select, train, develop and motivate a staff of employees. Mentor team members to assure career development and goals are attainable

2. Foster and grow relationships with 3PL leadership to ensure proactive communication/collaboration among team members

3. Collaborate with other internal teams such as operations and other internal partners to provide a premier customer experience

4. Provide leadership, oversight and guidance in the development of dynamic pricing

5. Develop holistic reporting to proactively identify upcoming contract reviews, decrease and monitor the number of past due contracts, and perform postimplementation review of pricing actions

6. Serve as primary FedEx Freight lead over 3PL General Programs, ensuring renewals are completed timely and appropriately priced; work to develop strategy; coordinate and participate on calls with Sales, Operations and Finance as needed; prepare updates for executive leadership as required

7. Develop education programs for FedEx Freight leadership and refine the current revenue forecasting process

8. Develop presentations for Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meetings as they relate to various revenue quality and 3PL pricing initiatives

9. Using market research and competitor analysis develop both short and long-term business strategies that support sustainable growth and profitability

10. Ensure network health is not only considered but made a priority when developing 3PL pricing strategies

11. Develop pricing education tools and review with FedEx Freight leadership; actively participate in corporate strategic initiatives

12. Collaborate, as needed, with FedEx Freight MRA team to prepare revenue forecasts; enhance the current process through more granular forecasting (selected customer detail, contract vs tariff, geographical, etc.)

13. Continuously improve and collaborate to develop new capabilities around key revenue quality performance metrics

14. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, sales or business plus seven (7) years' experience in pricing or related analysis, business consulting, project management and/or operations analysis

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact successfully with all management levels as well as directly with customers

Depending on assignment, specialized knowledge, skills, abilities and experience may be required

Ability to manage multiple priorities, perform at both a strategic and functional level as well as meet tight deadlines

Proven leadership ability; comfortable working with all levels of leadership both at FXF or customers

Proven record working jointly with others to produce results

Extensive pricing experience and related analytic skills preferred

Advanced critical thinking skills

Advanced problem-solving skills

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and/or financial support systems

Able to lead project groups with multiple stakeholders; successfully representing the Carrier Relations function
