We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and driven individuals to help support our Blast and Paint Department in the role of a Painter at our Port Colborne, ON facility.
Tasks/Responsibilities
Responsible for preparation of products and sub-assemblies for painting operations
Responsible for removal of splatter and weld defects prior to paint
Painting of products, components, and sub-assemblies as per drawings, specifications, and supervisor directions
Follow paint supplier mixing and recoating instructions
Perform upkeep and maintenance duties on all equipment
Report production issues and assist in resolutions as required
Adhere to all Safe Work Procedures (SWP)
Additional Duties as required
Schedule: 4 week shift rotation
Monday to Friday (2 weeks): 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Monday to Thursday (2 weeks): 3:30PM - 2:00AM
Preferred Skills
Industrial painting experience (preferred)
Experience with airless & air assisted spray guns
Experience spraying to a Mil thickness
Ability to understand drawings and production instructions
Team player willing to work towards business targets and takes responsibility for decisions and outcomes
Willingness to learn new skills and perform a variety of tasks and roles
Requirements
Secondary School
Painting experience: 2 years minimum
