Intake Specialists

Temporary summer position

Dates & Summer Hours: July 28 thru 9/30/25

Monday - Friday. 7:30am-4pm

Duties: Identify and administer assessments for students who may qualify for ESL services. This involves completing the intake file for the students, connecting the family to necessary resources, assessing students for EL/ML services, administering and scoring the assessment, and sending the information out to the respective schools. Will travel to schools to do in-building assessments during September. Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Student Services.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 3 yrs experience working with ESL populations. Experience performing ESL assessments, e.g., W-APT, ACCESS, etc. Experience coordinating or managing clerical support services in an office setting. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work closely with parents, staff, administration and community. Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Start Date: 7/28/25

Rate of Pay: $28.39/hour. to $28.78/hr. There is no vacation or benefits for summer/seasonal staff.

ACTIVE CASUAL HOURS AS NEEDED.
