The Bicycle/Wheelchair Tires Sales and Operational Manager will be responsible for growing sales for Kenda’s Wheelchair and Bicycle Tire Division. This role will also manage all division operations.

Key Responsibilities for Sales:
• Responsible to grow the wheelchair category for Kenda tire, which entails identifying opportunities, setting a strategy and driving towards hitting goals set by Sales Goals for Kenda.
• Decide what industry events to attend for Wheelchair and actively recruit and bring on new customers at those shows.
• Responsible for assessing current Wheelchair customers and setting and then implementing the strategy that will grow those accounts.
• Work to grow sales with Tier II Bicycle Tire Distributors in North America and aim to grow them a Tier I. (Tier II is the smaller of our Tiered Distributors. Tier I Bicycle Tire Distributors have an annual sales of $25K or more. Tier II are smaller customers that have annual sales of $5K-$25K).
• Attend industry events for both Wheelchair and Bicycle as needed (likely 4-6 trips annually)
• Assist Sales Director with Sales to Tier I distributors for Bicycle and when needed fill in for the Sales Director for customer meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities for Operational Management:
• Oversee departmental workflow and ensure effective process management, which includes creating new processes from the ground up, if needed. This role would be responsible for recommending the new policy language and process and then be in charge of seeing and managing the implementation across departments.
• Develop new (in needed or create meaningful updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all customer channels.
• Manage B2B and B2C orders, including ensuring orders are being entered and shipped out in a timely manner. This task would be eventually handed off to a Ops Assistant as the department grows.
• Ensure a positive customer interaction for both Wheelchair and Bicycle Tire Customers but setting standards and creating ways to track customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for ensuring our customer service processes for warranty claims, exchanges, and returns are efficient and effective.
• Prepare the department for future growth, including the planned addition of a Customer Service Agent within 12–24 months.
• Monitor and enforce Kenda’s Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy. • Execute operational tasks as directed by the Director of Sales.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to ask for and close sales.
• Strong command of integrity sales (sales that are mutually beneficial and done in an ethical manner)
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated track record of delivering sales results and delivering outstanding customer service (required).
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the cycling or outdoor industry (required).
• Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Prior experience in cycling industry operations or sales support role (preferred)
Working Environment & Schedule:
This non-exempt operates primarily in a professional office setting, with the standard hours of Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5 PM. The role included periodic warehouse duties for inventory management and occasional travel to industry trade shows.
