Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Cardiovascular Surgery

Join our dedicated medical team in the heart of Colorado Springs, CO, where we are committed to providing exceptional care at a leading hospital. Our facility hosts a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery unit within a 400-bed hospital, including 12 ICU beds. We are currently seeking a qualified physician to cover cardiovascular surgery services for 1-2 weeks each month. This role offers the chance to impact patient lives while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. Job Responsibilities:

Provide call coverage as needed, including weekends and some weekday coverage.

Manage an average of 10-15 hospital-based patients per day.

Perform 1-2 admissions, 8-10 ICU management tasks, and 1-2 surgeries daily.

Supervise and provide clinical oversight during on-call shifts.

Conduct required procedures such as coronary artery bypass and aneurysm repairs.

Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues as needed.

Coordinate with a team of two physicians and five mid-level providers. Qualifications:

Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery (ABMS/AOA).

Extensive experience in performing heart surgeries with a focus on cardiac cases.

Clean background with no malpractice history.

Experience in hospital-based practice and trauma care. License and Certification Requirements:

Active Colorado Medical License or IMLC.

Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications.

Proof of COVID vaccination.
