WHAT YOU'LL DO

This role involves the critical final testing and commissioning of intricate Audio-Visual systems during and post build. You will provide expert technical and management leadership on significant technology assignments while closely collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure all project objectives are met through documented test results.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

Interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints with accuracy.

Perform point-to-point functionality tests on systems.

Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to guarantee installation quality and completeness.

Test integrated systems and troubleshoot AMX/Crestron and DSP systems.

Install control programs (AMX/Crestron) – capable of both upload and download.

Write and adjust code for DSP systems as needed.

Implement minor programming changes under guidance from an engineer or programmer.

Optimize audio-video systems for peak performance.

Configure IP addressable devices for seamless network communication.

Conduct client training and provide necessary job documentation.

Act as a customer liaison when the Project Manager is unavailable.

Create, manage, and complete a project Punchlist.

Willingness to travel to various job sites is necessary.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

Strong communication skills to interact professionally with internal teams, clients, and peers.

Proficient writing skills for clear business communication.

Experience with test and calibration equipment.

Support user acceptance testing process.

Basic programming skills in AMX/Crestron for modifications and troubleshooting.

Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.

Comprehensive understanding of advanced signal flow for audio, video, and control.

Familiarity with IP networking concepts.

Strong PC proficiency.

Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

A valid Driver's License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Ability to climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet and lift necessary equipment.

Nice-To-Haves:

Formal education in Electronics or a related field is a plus.

At least 5 years of AV installation experience preferred.

A four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of work experience.

Experience with enterprise video conferencing solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Telepresence, etc.) is beneficial.

AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) certification is preferred.
