SUMMARY: This individual performs a combination of electrical and mechanical tasks to construct high quality custom equipment for industrial machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Fits and assembles parts to assembly drawing specifications.
* Performs basic electrical wiring using wiring diagrams, schematics, and wire lists.
Install and wire electrical cabinets into new machine builds.
Connect machine to in-coming power.
Conduct functional tests to verify proper machine/ panel operation.
* Run and test equipment for proper function.
* Perform final assembly inspection to ensure production specifications and standards are met.
* Assist in Machine Shop and facilities maintenance or troubleshooting as required.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Applicant must be capable of reading, interpreting & following schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
* Must have mechanical aptitude.
* Must be capable of safely using a variety of hand or power tools including a Digital Multi-meter and soldering iron.
* Must be detail-oriented, organized, be a self-starter, work independently and as part of a team.
Accurately follow oral instructions and written policies and procedures in a time sensitive situations.
* Problem-solving skills and mathematical skills required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * GED or High School graduate required; technical certification preferred.
* Must have two years hands-on experience.
