Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Network Administrator opening for our client in Somerset, NJ.

Location: Somerset, NJ

Duration: 3 months with extension up to one year

Duties:

Monitor network performance and ensure optimal operation.

Maintain and manage computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.

Plan, install, configure, and test networking equipment.

Create and manage firewalls, update virus protection software, and implement data security systems.

Monitor systems to improve network performance across all platforms.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network-related issues.

Implement and manage disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

Skills:

Proficient in network management and troubleshooting.

Strong knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, routers, and other networking hardware.

Experience with data security protocols and virus protection systems.

Ability to analyze network performance metrics and implement improvements.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in network infrastructure management.

Proven track record of troubleshooting complex network issues.

Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
