Job Title: Service Mechanic
Job Description
As a Service Mechanic, you will focus on the repair and maintenance of a variety of trailer and truck-mounted asphalt maintenance equipment. Your responsibilities will include performing basic maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing various components such as burners, electrical and hydraulic systems, body damage, among others.
Responsibilities
Analyze the operation of systems and components of asphalt maintenance equipment to determine performance.
Inspect mechanical and electrical systems; diagnose and repair systems.
Disassemble systems, examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
Repair or replace defective parts, adjust settings, and reassemble according to specifications.
Operate electronic testing equipment, precision instruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, welding and cutting equipment, and cranes and hoists.
Weld and fabricate parts as needed.Essential Skills
Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, auto mechanic, diesel mechanic, or trailer mechanic.
Electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical functions.
Experience with diesel, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control.Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-year degree in Automotive or Diesel Technology is a plus.
Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.Why Work Here

Work Environment
Work in a spacious and clean industrial environment, within a sheet metal manufacturing shop. You will be surrounded by numerous machines, tools, and equipment, collaborating with approximately 50 colleagues across various departments. Shift hours offer flexibility, with a four-day, 10-hour schedule from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, and the possibility of working every other week on Fridays for a half-day.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
