Our Service Warranty Administrator will be responsible for managing all aspects of warranty claims within the service department, including reviewing repair orders, verifying warranty coverage, processing claims with manufacturers, tracking claim status, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with warranty policies, while maintaining strong communication with customers and service technicians to ensure smooth claim resolution.

Key responsibilities:

Claim review and processing:

Analyze repair orders to determine warranty eligibility, verify part numbers, and submit claims to the manufacturer according to established guidelines.

Customer interaction:

Communicate with customers regarding warranty claim status, explaining coverage details and addressing concerns.

Data management:

Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, including repair order details, parts used, and claim approvals.

Compliance monitoring:

Ensure adherence to manufacturer warranty policies and procedures, identifying and reporting potential fraudulent claims.

Relationship building:

Establish and maintain positive relationships with manufacturer warranty representatives to facilitate claim processing.

Trend analysis:

Identify patterns in warranty claims to identify potential product issues and recommend corrective actions

Reporting:

Generate regular reports on warranty claim activity, including cost analysis and claim denial rates

Required skills:

Technical knowledge:

Understanding of automotive repair procedures and component functionality to accurately assess warranty claims.

Attention to detail:

Ability to thoroughly review repair orders and warranty documentation to ensure accuracy

Strong communication:

Effectively communicate with customers, service technicians, and manufacturer representatives

Problem-solving:

Analyze complex warranty situations and find solutions to resolve claims effectively

Computer proficiency:

Familiarity with warranty management software and other relevant systems

Work experience:

Preferred - one year experience processing warranty claims in a dealership environment.

Work environment:

Dealership service department

May involve interaction with customers, service technicians, parts department, managers and manufacturer representatives.
