Position Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant will assist the Warehouse Supervisor with all aspects of the Warehouse responsibilities including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Receiving Inbound Product
Unloading, reporting counts, and discrepancies in quantity and condition
Storing Inbound Product
Mark best by month and year with colored sticker or other assigned method
Filling Outbound Customer Orders
Review paperwork for products and quantities
Pick product in FIFO sequence
Bring to appropriate area of warehouse for staging, packing, checking
When approved, seal and attach paperwork (labels, placards)
Assist driver as necessary
Deliver paperwork to Logistics Office
Weekly and Monthly Inventory Counts
Safe Operating of Equipment
Assist with snow removal on the sidewalks to both employee entrances.
Re-packing products into different containers on a regular basis.
Assisting Warehouse Lead with special projects.
Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Warehouse experience preferred
Must be able to operate forklift and maintain forklift certification
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
Able to maintain good teamwork spirit, coordination, organization, planning, time management, reporting skills, inventory control, documentation skills, equipment maintenance, data entry skills, dependability.
Proven ability to follow team goals and objectives
Results-oriented with strong organizational and decision-making skills
Ability to follow direction and guidance from Lead or Leadership Team
Ability to follow OSHA regulations
Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office software, data entry, and use of FedEx/UPS shipping systems
Basic understanding of mathematics (addition and multiplication)
