Job Description
FIRST CLASS PLATE ROLLER / PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR:
We are seeking First Class Plate Roller / Press Brake Operator, who will be responsible for fabricating heavy equipment to our specifications. Applicants should be self-starters, able to complete tasks with little direct supervision. Top pay for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret specifications and blueprints.
Perform simple to highly complex plate forming according to blueprints and layout specifications.
Move material to next station or to store
Perform general housekeeping/clean up in assigned area
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Must be able to read and follow structural drawings
Torch cutting
Arc gouging
Must be able to read a tape measure
Ability to work in and maintain a safe work environment
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using measurements
Knowledge of all equipment and tools necessary to perform the duties required.
Ability to operate material handling equipment to move and align materials, including forklifts and overhead cranes
Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift and move 50 lbs, climb up and down ladders, bending and squatting, use sledgehammers up to 20 lbs
Experience working with the following equipment: hand grinder, measuring tools, burning equipment, hammers, material handling equipment, saws, and other fabrication equipment
Experience:
Press Brake: 2 years (Preferred)
Plate Rolling: 2 years (Preferred)
