Southwest General Health Center is a 352-bed community hospital located in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. One of the last standing community hospitals in Northeast Ohio, we partner with University Hospitals and other local community organizations to provide a full range of services to all who need us. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Patient Access plans, organizes, and coordinates the activities of Patient Access Departments: Centralized Patient Access functions: Pre-Access, (Scheduling, pre-registration, estimates, pre-service collections and prior authorization) Insurance Verification, Point of Service Collections and Financial Counseling and Clearance to drive operational performance. Oversees and assists subordinate staff in designing and implementing departmental strategies that are aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices. Works collaboratively with peers and internal/external stakeholders to address organizational challenges/opportunities. Monitors performance and strives for excellence through ongoing process improvement. Contributes to a positive work environment that promotes SWG values.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree
REQUIRED LENGTH AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years experience in related area with two of these years being healthcare management experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: CHAM, CRCR or HFMA preferred
