The Company

Halo Industries, Inc., a pioneer in manufacturing innovation with light-based technologies, seeks a highly skilled System Integration Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. Our proprietary advancements replace traditional processes with novel light-based equivalents, offering higher quality, lower cost, and enhanced functionality. As we rapidly expand our operations, we're looking for a leader to oversee our prototype systems' integration and verification activities.

The Opportunity

The System Integration Engineering Manager will play a critical role in the transfer of next-generation laser wafering tool designs from R&D to Pilot Manufacturing, verifying the functionality and performance capabilities of Halo’s prototype systems. This is a new position, which will be responsible for the hire and leadership of a team of integration and test engineers and technicians.

The successful candidate will assume prototype ownership, working with systems, hardware, and software engineering teams to define and resolve integration challenges, assuring systems components are compatible in terms of electrical, mechanical, and software interfaces while delivering functional capabilities and performance levels required to fulfill applications requirements and stakeholder needs.

As a System Integration Engineering Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

Build and lead a team to execute integration and verification plans, ensuring functionality and performance of prototype systems. The scope of systems will include individual wafering stations, networked stations, and complete wafer processing lines.

Take on prototype ownership including planning, staffing, and qualification to support program plans

Work with stakeholders from different departments and contract manufacturers to ensure alignment on system integration plans, while building strong lines of communication.

Resolve design flaws, including hardware and software interface/communication mismatches.

Assess and mitigate risks associated with system integration.

Minimize and resolve integration bottlenecks and drive systemic improvements based on methodical root cause analysis.

Capture and drive the resolution of integration issues.

Report progress on all activities related to system integration and testing.

Optimize documentation of build, integration and test procedures.

Continuously evaluate integration processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvements.

Assure quality of software testing and validation methods and techniques.

Establish a comprehensive product record with test and calibration data.

Travel to customer sites as required to support product introduction or local site support

Maintain a safe and 5S-organized work environment that promotes employee health and compliance with EHS standards, including laser safety protocols, handling of chemicals, and use of ladders and platforms.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related technical field with an advanced degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in manufacturing of complex equipment, with at least 4 years in a management role.

Experience managing resources, including time, budget, personnel and stakeholders.

Experience with 3D CAD and 2D Drawings (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)).

Experience working in the integration of optical, electrical, and mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.

Experience working with laser systems and laser safety is highly desired.

Proficiency to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Certified Six-Sigma Black Belt or Certified Manufacturing Engineer (SME CMfgE) preferred.

Base salary $150,000 to $190,000
