Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Manager will lead the inside sales department of up to 10 in office and remote salespeople, driving team performance, sales strategy, and customer satisfaction. This leadership role is responsible for growing sales and developing salespeople while fostering a positive culture. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a solid understanding of sales processes and a passion for team development and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership:
Manage and grow the inside sales team while cultivating a results-driven environment
Develop and implement sales strategies, department policies, and best practices
Coach, train, and evaluate team performance to ensure achievement of individual and team goals
Set and monitor KPIs and performance benchmarks for the team
Operational Strategy:
Create and execute lead generation strategies to drive new business
Prepare, review, and analyze sales performance reports and forecasts
Identify and implement improvements in workflow, processes, and customer engagement
Act as a product expert and resource across the organization
Team Development & Culture:
Promote a collaborative and accountable work environment
Align department goals with company vision and contribute to strategic planning
Foster team engagement through mentorship and ongoing professional development
Embody and promote United Bags' customer-focused and innovative culture
Vendor & CRM Management:
Communicate and coordinate with global vendors on order fulfillment and product specifications
Ensure effective use of CRM tools and databases for sales tracking and customer engagement
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales leadership or management role
Strong hands-on experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of the sales cycle, reporting, and analytics
Skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to coach and motivate individuals to meet high-performance standards
Industry experience preferred but not required

This role is based on-site at United Bags' headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri.
