Job Description

Tandem Press Operator, $22.75+/hour - Holland

Qualifications:

Prior tandem press operation experience is required

Ability to lift to 40lbs repetitively

GED or High School Diploma required

Abliity to do repetitive work

Must have excellent attention to detail

Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing and operational procedures

Skills:

Sets up and operates power press to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal.

Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications working with die setters

Install nest and fingers

Positions work piece in nest or feeder

Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction

Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors including first piece

Cleans press machines

Catches, packs and inspects parts

Operates quality gages and performs hourly checks

Completes log tags, production reports, and die maintenance control forms

Participates in continuous improvement activities including automation and tooling improvements

Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.

The Tandem Press Operator will be responsible for operating and setting up a Tadem press machine and performing quality inspection while ensuring the production rate is met. This is a 2nd shift position working 1:30pm-9:30pm (Monday-Friday.) Must be able to train on first week for a week from 5:30am-1:30pm.
