DevSecOps Engineer – Huntsville, AL

Annual Salary Range: $84,000 - $155,000

In-Depth Engineering Corporation seeks DevSecOps Engineers to support our rapidly growing engineering work on Ground Missile Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

The work is performed on-site at our customer site in Huntsville, AL. Work schedule - Flex 4/10 Schedule or Flex 9/80 w/every other Friday off - or a straight 5/8.

Qualified candidates must have an active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.

Duties

• Provide automation configuration with tools like Ansible to automate build and configuration processes

• Develop Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) process and tools, deployment strategies

• Build and deploy containers and containerization technologies

• Enable and lead Agile management and collaboration, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab

• Learn new technologies and tools to enable rapid and secure, scalable capability

• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python

• Deploy and maintain applications on Kubernetes clusters

• Must be a US citizen

• Active DoD Secret Clearance

• Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, or other STEM field

• 2+ years of related experience

• Experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud

• Experience with Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services

• Ability to write or review software code (Java, Python, etc.)

• Exposure to DevSecOps practices

• Proficient with PaaS (Platform as a Service) infrastructure

• Proficient with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes

• Proficient with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Nexus repositories

• Proficient with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others

• Proficient with branching strategies, gated commits and source-controlled management

• Proficient Programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts)

• Proficient Programming and scripting experience in a Windows environment (PowerShell, etc.)

• Proficient with IaaS (Infrastructure as Code) scripts in Terraform and Helm to provision cloud resources Experienced with Agile product development methodology
