Job Title: Swing-Shift CNC/Manual Machinist

Job Description

Join an ASME Pressure Vessel Shop as a skilled Swing-Shift CNC/Manual Machinist. This role requires a self-motivated and self-directing individual with excellent communication skills to contribute to a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machines, primarily high-speed drills using a Fanuc interface.

Handle manual machines, including large vertical lathes and radial drill presses.

Understand and apply knowledge of feeds and speeds.

Select and use high-speed tooling and inserts.

Sharpen drills and tooling as needed.

Use precision measuring devices with mastery.

Read blueprints proficiently and accurately.

Utilize personal tools for the job.

Operate overhead bridge cranes and perform rigging safely.

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Stand, climb ladders, and work for 10-12 hour shifts.Essential Skills

Minimum three years of experience in CNC and manual machining.

Proficiency in operating CNC machines with Fanuc interface.

Experience with large vertical lathes and radial drill presses.

Understanding of feeds, speeds, and high-speed tooling.

Ability to read blueprints accurately.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with machine shop operations for at least three years.

At least one year of CNC experience.

Familiarity with overhead bridge cranes and safe rigging practices.

Ability to work in dynamic and occasionally noisy, smoky, or dusty environments.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a very industrial fabrication facility with a large hangar-type shop floor. The facility includes several overhead cranes and can be dirty. The work location is in person, with a dynamic and occasionally noisy, smoky, or dusty atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newberg, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
