Job Title: Material HandlerJob Description
Under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager, the Material Handler is responsible for moving finished products, stock, and other materials within the warehouse, as well as loading and unloading trucks. Additionally, this role involves completing both shipping and receiving tasks.
Responsibilities
Strictly adhere to company and plant safety policies and procedures.
Operate a forklift to move stock, orders, or materials for other departments as needed.
Load outbound shipments, unload inbound shipments, and stage shipments for pick up.
Prepare shipments by consolidating, crating, wrapping, labeling, and strapping.
Take pictures of products at shipping.
Check products for other departments daily.
Conduct daily and weekly cycle counts for finished goods, raw materials, pallets, crates, and other supplies that support production as needed.
Conduct quarterly inventory counts.
Maintain plant recycle bins as directed by the Warehouse Manager.Essential Skills
Inventory management and control, including cycle counts and data entry.
Forklift operation.
Proficiency in Excel, Inventory control, and general computer skills.
Ability to learn and utilize the Epicor ERP system.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Prior shipping/receiving experience.
Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.
Forklift and scissor lift certifications.
Detail-oriented with a priority for accuracy.
Good organizational skills with a proactive attitude and a team player.
Skilled in Excel, Outlook, and Word.Why Work Here?
This position offers a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire, providing a great opportunity to blend forklift and computer/clerical skills. Enjoy a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
Work Environment
The role involves working in a shipping/receiving office and manufacturing environment where temperatures can vary. You may occasionally be exposed to dust, odors, fumes, and noise.

This is a Contract position based out of Yakima, Washington.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.29 - $23.29/hr.
