Garage Door Install Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated garage door technician to join our growing team. You will be responsible for installing residential and commercial garage doors and training others on how to do the same as a technician. Since our company offers service as well as new installations and remodels, technicians will travel to a variety of job sites, and each day will be unique. You will deal with customers on a daily basis throughout our service areas, so you need to be good at providing excellent customer service. The ideal applicant is skilled with power tools and familiar with the fundamentals of electrical wiring and connections. $15 - $20 hourlyResponsibilities:

Present options to the customer after inspecting and accurately diagnosing any problems with the current system

Calculate installation openings and perform site inspections for larger jobs

Create notes, quotes, and invoices using software

Participate in company meetings and adhere to company procedures

Attend appointments within the window that has been given to the client

Assist the lead technician in the installation and repair of residential and commercial overhead doors and openers.

Gain comprehensive knowledge of all products, enhance mechanical skills, and learn new installation techniques to meet our high standards of quality workmanship with minimal warranty issues.

Implement safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment.

Ensure all job tickets are accurately completed, signed, and submitted.

Communicate with management regarding any problems or changes in the scope of work.

Maintain truck inventory and develop an understanding of all parts, including their numbers and descriptions.

Qualifications:

Skills in communication, listening, and working well with others are a must

For this role, you need to have outstanding skills in providing service to customers

Competent in the use of both power tools and hand tools

Good understanding with the wiring and connections used in electrical systems

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificateAbout Company
