JOB SUMMARY:

The Sr. Demand Planner is responsible for overseeing and providing analytics in assortment planning, materials planning, key item planning, and the allocation and replenishment of products. This role ensures sales, demand, and supply planning processes maximize sales, enhance gross margin, and improve inventory productivity. Additionally, the Sr. Demand Planner is responsible for the processes related to all planning functions and providing guidance to the planning organization with the goal of continuous improvement. This individual will also mentor new members of the planning team to help them continue to improve their skillset.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory Management

Manage inventory purchasing for samples, raw materials, point-of-purchase merchandising, replacement parts, marketing materials, and production bulk for assigned categories.

Support the planning organization in improvements to current inventory management processes

Analyze and adjust buy quantities to avoid or advise supplier surcharges in response to style and color MOQ.

Analyze and authorize warehouse inventory transfers to fulfill demand and optimize inventory.

Oversee and audit price changes in the financial system, auditing data entry by Product Line Managers, and align pricing changes with product launches, sales deadlines, promotions, and seasonal adjustments across seven global currencies.

Approve preseason orders with precise timing to ensure proper allocation of inventory to orders, performing audits and reallocations as necessary. Monitor incoming purchase orders, aligning them with orders in the system to decrease shipping costs, while maximizing available resources.

Assist in revenue planning strategies by directing order flow to 4 global warehouses, coordinating staffing and workload.

Manage global backorders and ensure the planning team is executing to fill appropriately.

Perform inventory adjustments for 4 global warehouses based on cycle counts, discrepancies, and write-offs. Annually recommend inventory write-off for non-performing inventory.

Perform inventory transfers for B2B, B2C, and to fulfill demand, optimize inventory, and quarantine defective stock. Manage quarantined inventory to facilitate proper channels of resolution. Procurement

Manage purchase orders and communicate work in progress to ensure adherence to timelines, product accuracy, and budget.

Suggest priorities and delays for open PO's to balance inventory levels and ensure product arrival for seasonal launches.

Consolidate factory raw material orders for like fabrics spread across multiple factories.

Plan, execute and present at execute buy review meetings to finalize forecast for purchase order placement. Process Collaboration

Guide the organization on all processes related to the planning and purchasing.

Support & coordinate with production, compliance, and logistics teams for on-time procurement of finished goods and adherence to global sourcing requirements.

Responsible for the production process for all Teton Outfitters brands: monitor raw material PO's, ensure vendors adhere to on-time delivery of raw materials, and present weekly raw material production report (WIP) for all brands.

Partner with sales/customer service to fulfill backorders and suggest alternative sales opportunities.

Document and update training materials (Procedures & Processes). Maintain and communicate 90-day work plan for resource planning. Reporting & Analysis

Prepare, plan, execute, and present monthly style performance reviews with senior management to create strategic action items to drive revenue and style unit performance.

Utilize a series of metrics to identify production exceptions and address accordingly with factories. Create and present sales forecasting tools, required for inventory purchases.

Accountable to create and maintain needed spreadsheets, reports, and saved search for raw materials. Some examples are Fabric WIP, Monthly Excess Material report, Corrective action report, and Greige report.

Identify and track inventory status/performance to recommend promotional lifts and price modulations.

Develop and implement appropriate long and short term strategic and tactical initiatives to achieve buying/sourcing targets.

Create, maintain, and present key performance indicators for all demand planning functions on a monthly cadence.

Conduct product portfolio performance to support product redesign or product creation. Continuous Improvement

Drive performance improvement through the use and interpretation of Continuous Improvement Tools.

Address the root causes of issues, create corrective action plans and implement long-term solutions.

Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required with internal and cross-functional teams.

Deploy Lean methods to simplify processes, eliminate waste/non-value adding activities and improve workflow: evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, procedures, and daily workflow.

Develop, implement, and maintain work instructions and process documentation. Project Management

Manage project activity to enhance operational performance efficiency via automation, process improvement techniques, and expansion/relocation.

Create ROI and cost benefit analysis for initiatives and expenditures.

Effectively identify, prioritize, plan, and execute improvements in an efficient manner. Other Job Duties

Special projects as required. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree (in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Finance) required.

6+ years of professional experience required - preferably in Inventory, Analytics, or Supply Chain functions.

2+ years of experience in managing/mentoring teams preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of garment production processes, including 2+ years experience in textile greige forecasting, mass apparel production, and excess fabric utilization.

Demonstrated success managing inventory, including auditing, budgeting, forecasting and planning.

Excellent organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, & virtual communication).

Consistent track record of solving problems and improving Inventory processes; ability & curiosity in identifying areas of inefficiency and make recommendations to improve processes and tools.

5+ years experience partnering with cross-functional teams to bring product strategies to life, to gain alignment on processes, and to ensure inventory will support demand forecast.

5+ years statistical and forecasting experience required. Knowledge in building and developing forecasting analytical models and performing data analysis

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Pivot, and Power Pivot. (2+ years experience required)

Experience using ERP software - experience using NetSuite is required

Experience using PLM software - Centric is preferred

Working knowledge of SQL/relational databases. (5+ years experience required)

Strong project management and multi-tasking skills, capable of following written instructions and documented procedures.

Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and adapt to change.
