Agilus is recruiting for a Business Development Manager in the Steel industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication and interpersonal skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and demonstrate the ability to execute sales strategies.
A typical day:
Develop and execute business development plans that align with the company's objectives
Research and identify potential customers, market trends, and industry developments
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
Organize and participate in customer entertainment activities. This may include events outside of business hours
Evaluate pricing feedback and investing opportunities
Manage the progress of multiple projects
Work closely with supply chain and sales teams to ensure alignment on business development strategies and support the execution of customer projects.
Support Sales Management in determining pricing, aged inventory, and inventory holds
Successful candidates will have:
6+ years prior industry-related business development experience (steel, metal, carbon, aluminum, oil and gas industry and products)
Bachelor's degree
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
Organizational and planning skills
Energetic, family-oriented.
Comfortable doing cold calls, walk-ins
Ability to multitask and manage various projects and responsibilities at the same time.
Flexible as travel is required, including local and non-local.
Total rewards:
Permanent position
Salary range: $100K - $110K ( depending on relevant industry experience).
Commissions, quarterly bonus based on revenue, and profit share eligibility.
The company covers car allowance and expenses.
