Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning PreK-12

## Position Overview

Educational leader needed to oversee comprehensive PreK-12 teaching and learning initiatives through our Online/On-Campus Learning Alliance in Trotwood, Ohio (Dayton area). This role integrates curriculum excellence, instructional innovation, and the Voice Up Theory for Learning—a transformative framework built on the principle that people learn more effectively when their learning directly connects to their sense of purpose. You'll support students and families across all grade levels in discovering their God-given talents and developing them through our five-step process: Discovering Your Purpose, Finding Your Passion, Learning to Speak Well, Learning to Listen Well, and Support Along the Way.

## Service Options

- **100% Online** - Remote curriculum oversight and instructional coaching with campus connection

- **100% On-Campus** - Campus-based educational leadership with online teaching support

- **50% Hybrid** - Flexible combination of online and on-campus educational leadership

## Core Responsibilities

- Implement the Voice Up Theory for Learning across PreK-12 curriculum using our "Baker's Dozen" framework

- Guide students through the five-step learning process: purpose discovery, passion identification, communication excellence, active listening, and ongoing support

- Provide instructional coaching in purpose-driven learning methodologies for teaching staff

- Facilitate curriculum development sessions based on Collaboration, Humility, Precision, Patience, and Empathy

- Coordinate academic resources and compliance for student-athletes across all grade levels

- Develop assessment strategies connecting learning outcomes to individual purpose and community impact

- Connect families to educational resources through monthly online workshops and support networks

- Collaborate with social workers, college mentors, and administrative staff in safe learning environments

- Monitor school-wide academic progress and intervention systems using empathy-centered approaches

- Lead social impact projects that apply purpose and passion to real community needs

- Support transition planning between grade levels and post-secondary pathways aligned with individual purpose

- Maintain documentation and compliance with state educational standards while honoring authentic self-expression

## Required Qualifications

- Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field

- Current Ohio teaching license with multi-level endorsements preferred

- Minimum 7 years teaching experience across multiple grade levels

- Administrative or instructional leadership experience

- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and differentiated instruction

- Experience with curriculum mapping and standards alignment

- Comfort with digital platforms and/or in-person service delivery

## Preferred Qualifications

- Administrative licensure or Doctorate in Educational Leadership

- Experience implementing purpose-driven or project-based learning methodologies

- Background in social impact education and community engagement

- Understanding of talent development and authentic self-expression in learning environments

- Bilingual capabilities

- Knowledge of NCAA academic requirements and college preparation

- Experience with alternative education models and homeschooling support

- Familiarity with small group mentorship and family engagement strategies

## Position Details

- **Part-time:** 20 hours/week with growth to full-time (40+ hours) within 12 months based on performance and organizational needs
