BAE Systems is seeking a Programmer Analyst to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate.

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a range of applications and components, primarily utilizing C# on the .NET platform for application logic and Oracle with PL/SQL for data storage. Additionally, some applications are built using Java on the JVM. The role involves daily development tasks such as coding, testing, documentation, and peer review of various software components, including web applications, stored procedures, class libraries, and standalone applications, all managed through Git version control in a collaborative team environment with established processes.

The web technologies used include a mix of ASP.NET, Web API, and JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, KnockoutJS, and VueJS, as well as legacy PL/SQL-driven websites hosted on Oracle. Our team supports a wide range of data exchange with partner organizations, working with logistics-oriented data sets, data standards, and data processes, including images, barcodes, MILSTRIP, X12, and message queues.
