Position Overview:
Brown Jug is a premium retailer of wine, beer, and spirits. We offer a great place to work, with a friendly atmosphere and energetic work environment. We provide our customers with convenience, selection, and top-notch service! The Warehouse worker will fulfill store orders by physically retrieving and assembling orders from the warehouse inventory and will facilitate the loading and unloading of orders, stocking, and maintenance of products while ensuring order and inventory accuracy.
This position will work on site at the Brown Jug Warehouse at 5301 Electron Drive in Anchorage.
Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
People Management Skills:
Customer service driven, friendly, and willing to talk to all customers
Effective verbal communications skills
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude
Day-to-Day Operations:
Locate and retrieve items from pick sheet as required by the Supervisor for store deliveries
Fill orders from warehouse stock, complete order receipts, and assemble orders for shipping
Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
Stock shelves and keep inventory clean and in order
User identifying information to mark and / or tag inventory
Assist Supervisor with inventory counts as needed
Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties
Other duties as assigned
Regulatory Adherence:
Ensure that OHS, LP and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to
Ensure AMCO and other government guidelines are met
Adhere to all Brown Jug and Afognak policies with a focus on social responsibility
Physical Requirements:
Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
Able to stand for an extended period
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse environment (preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 21 years of age
Valid forklift and / or power jack certification (preferred)
