We are looking for multiple Resident Aides at our 3 locations in the LA metro (Mid-City, Bandera, and Fisher). Reports to: Program Manager
Job Summary:
ODR Interim Housing - Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Resident Support Staff (RSS) provides professional, compassionate and safe care for all residents. Must be able to work any shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:
Respond to client’s needs in a prompt, patient and professional manner
General monitoring of clients to ensure that a safe and welcoming atmosphere is maintained
Follow all organization policies and procedures
Complete all daily logs, including needed signatures and provide complete end-of-shift reports to the oncoming staff and to the Program Manager.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Monitor the house and residents, make rounds as necessary.
Document and report unusual occurrences, incidents and injuries.
Ensure all resident rooms are neat and clean, hallways are free of obstructions and other safety hazards.
Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations.
Assist residents improving independence though adherence to daily chores and personal care; verifies all common areas, laundry areas and restrooms are clean and disinfected & fully operational
As assigned, assist house staff during provision of services to residents including meal preparation/serving, monitor and record client self-administration of prescribed medication, set-up for classes, meetings, recreation, and other Program events.
Always maintain resident confidentiality.
Answer telephones and take messages for residents and staff, monitor doors and greet visitors
Other Tasks that may be required by the Program Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED
One year of experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment, or any other social services program serving the homeless
If a recovering alcohol and/or drug user, you must have at least 1 year of continuous sobriety.
Strong Microsoft operating systems skills (Outlook, Office, Word, Excel, etc.) along with database familiarity
Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflict, including dealing with un-cooperative clients
Will consider candidates with lived experiences
COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster required.
Proof of valid California Driver’s License required, Clean Driving Record required, and must be insurable on our policy.
Live Scan is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Patient with the ability to create a calming influence in stressful situations.
Act as a role model always while putting residents needs first.
Collaborative team player who is adaptable, organized, consistent, and compassionate with good communications skills.
If driving a company vehicle is an essential function of your position, you are required to possess and maintain a valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable by our insurance carrier.
All employees are required to be fully vaccinated and have (1) Booster upon hire date. If you have a medical or religious exemption proof will be required upon hire date.

2 PT Grave RA- open (Sat - Sun, from11p to 7:30am)
Fisher (90037):
1 FT Day RA- open (Sun - Thurs, 7am to 3:30pm) and (Tue - Sat 7a to 3:30pm)
Bandera (90002):
1 PT Grave RA- open (Sat - Sun, 11pm to 7:30)

We are a facility that wears masks at all times and requires full vaccination (with booster vaccine) against COVID-19.
