Press Brake Operator - Direct Placement

Job Description

The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating Press Brakes, specifically Accupress and Cincinnati models. The role requires working from routings, method layouts, and prints to determine the proper forming sequence of the tooling. The operator will select, position, and align tooling in the machine ram and bed, as well as program the controller to set specified pressure of the ram and clearance between tools, and set stops on the machine bed. The operator must comply with the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures and work-aids, perform basic quality inspections using micrometers and calipers, and document in-process inspection data.

Responsibilities

MUST be able set up and operate Press Brakes including Accupress and Cincinnati models.

Determine proper forming sequence from routings, method layouts, and prints.

Select, position, and align tooling in the machine ram and bed.

Program the controller to set specified pressure and clearance between tools.

Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures.

Perform basic quality inspections using micrometers and calipers.

Document in-process inspection data.Essential Skills

2+ years of experience setting up and operating Press Brakes in a job shop environment.

Experience with short, prototype runs.

Proficiency in press machine operation and blueprint reading.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with fabrication and sheet metal fabrication.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Maple Grove, Minnesota.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
