Onboard is seeking a second shift Parts Puller and Shipping/Receiving Helper to support the growing business and growing portfolio of new products being introduced. This role works onsite at our Vancouver, WA location. This position is for Evening shift, Monday thru Thursday, 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm, but will start with training on day shift 9:30 to 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week in our climate controlled production warehouse. Overtime (early start) may be required one week per month.
In this role, you will spend approximately 2/3 of your time assisting with inventory and pulling parts on a computer-operated machine to build kits for assembly. The remainder of your time will be spent assisting our shipping and receiving department by preparing shipments for domestic and international shipping by ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and facilitating the secure and efficient movement of goods across borders.
Job Responsibilities and Required Skills
Pull parts from inventory by hand (not forklift) based on work and sales orders
Physically count inventory
Place parts into inventory
Use of computer systems to transact inventory
Perform order picking and packing for customer orders, ensuring quality control.
Assist with the end-to-end process of shipping goods both internationally and domestically, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Ensure all shipments comply with U.S. export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, by preparing and reviewing necessary documentation such as commercial invoices, export licenses, and shipping manifests.
Assist with maintaining accurate records of all shipments, including tracking numbers, customs declarations, and correspondence with customs officials and freight forwarders.
Build relationships with domestic and international carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to optimize shipping processes and resolve any issues that arise.
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in international and domestic shipping, with a strong understanding of export regulations and compliance requirements.
Skills:
Be able to lift an average of 10 lbs., and max lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
Operate hand held scanner and utilize computer software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with logistics management software.
Work steadily on an independent basis
Attention to detail and accuracy and mechanical aptitude are critical to this position
The wage range for this role is $17-22/hr, plus a $4 shift differential. The total hourly rate for the role will be $21-26/hr.
