Objective:
Drive the efficiency and effectiveness of our Accounts Receivable department by providing strategic leadership, fostering team development, and implementing best-in-class revenue cycle management practices. This role is instrumental in optimizing cash flow, ensuring compliance, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities/Daily Tasks:
Clearly define roles and responsibilities, establishing measurable individual and team goals.
Proactively monitor team productivity and performance, providing timely feedback and coaching.
Conduct regular performance reviews (quarterly and bi-annually), fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance staff expertise in AR processes and industry best practices.
Effectively manage employee scheduling, vacation requests, and ensure consistent shift coverage.
Mentor and build strong relationships with team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Monitor and analyze key AR metrics (KPIs), identify trends and implement strategies to optimize performance.
Continuously evaluate and improve AR operations, recommending and implementing process enhancements.
Deliver measurable results against defined scopes of work, providing regular and insightful reports to management.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management trends, regulatory changes, and payer-specific rules, particularly in toxicology and clinical laboratory billing.
Facilitate regular meetings with internal department managers to share information, identify areas for improvement, and address company-wide issues.
Serve as the point of escalation for high-level concerns involving clients, payers, and patients, resolving issues effectively and professionally.
Communicate clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Five or more years of hands-on experience driving results in a fast-paced Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) setting.
Two-plus years of demonstrated management expertise, including team leadership, performance optimization, and strategic decision-making.
Proficiency in AR software and relevant industry tools.
Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and clinical laboratory billing.
Expertise in leveraging data analytics to drive informed and impactful business decisions.
Demonstrated ability to achieve business results while fostering employee engagement and retention.
Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and motivational skills.
Telcor Practice Management System experience.
Experience / understanding of Artificial Intelligence automation and analysis.
