Expectations:

We are looking for a motivated individual who has a steady work history. We need experienced operators for our new electric press brakes including robotic bending and automatic tool changers. The Amada EGB1303 and HRB1003 are brand new and incorporate the latest technologies in both forming and safety. Successful candidates will be trained in Amadas bending software and will be required to monitor and manage the robotic bend cells functions.We also have a new Amada HRB8025 Press Brake. This brake also incorporates the latest in Amadas bending technology but does not include a robotic bend function or the automatic tool changer. This brake will be used for smaller parts that the robots cannot handle but will have minimal tooling changes required. We expect successful candidates to be able to operate the non-robotic press brake as well. To be successful as a Press Brake Operator, you should have prior experience and ability to interpret blueprints. You will also be able to use various measurement devices including calipers, digital angle gauges, tape measures, etc. During a typical shift, this position regularly performs heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and will be required to stand on concrete floors for extended periods of time.

Job Description:

Set-up and operate machines such as our Amada EGB1303, HRB1003, and HRB8025.

Work to a daily schedule and load various bending programs for the production parts required.

Load raw materials into the Press Brake and monitor the forming process.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products.

Perform spot inspections of parts.

Conduct daily inspections to verify all parts meet blueprint specifications and quality tolerance and are usable for next operations and perform necessary rework and minor repairs on non-confirming parts.

Must ensure that established production, set-up, and quality standards are met.

Must keep accurate counts of production parts run through machinery and accurately report on appropriate paperwork.

Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve desired results.

Follow all safety protocols and maintain clean work area.

Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Perform and/or assist with preventative, minor, and major maintenance functions on production machinery.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

Assist in the training of other fabrication staff to create a cross functional operation of all fabrication equipment including the robotic laser welding and the laser cutting cells. Training will include how to safely operate machinery meeting established production, set-up and quality standards.

Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures and is accountable for the health and safety of employees under his supervision by; making sure that employees work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures and providing adequate training for employees in specific work tasks to help reduce or eliminate the risk of workplace injuries.

Required:

Minimum 3-5 years of recent Press Brake experience.

Proven robotic experience, operating robotics.

Ability to read a tape measure

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of forming processes.

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Minimum 3 years recent experience working in manufacturing environment.

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
