What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a passionate, skilled, and team-oriented Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant who’s ready to bring their expertise to a hospital that values growth, collaboration, and exceptional care. At Copeland Veterinary Hospital, we don't just fill roles—we invest in people who want to thrive.

Here's what will set you up for success in this role:

Veterinary Experience (2–3+ Years Preferred):

You’ve worked in a clinical setting and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Experience in general practice, emergency, or specialty care is highly valued. You're not just a tech—you’re a caregiver, a problem solver, and a patient advocate.

Credentialed or Equivalent Experience:

Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT, RVT, CVT) are preferred, but if you bring strong hands-on skills and a commitment to learning, we’d love to speak with you.

Technical Skills That Shine:

You’re confident in performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, lab diagnostics, and patient triage. You’re not afraid to step up during urgent care situations and help where it matters most.

Communication & Compassion:

You connect with people as much as you do with animals. Whether explaining treatment plans or calming a nervous client, you deliver clear, kind, and supportive communication—even in high-pressure moments.

Calm, Capable, and Critical Thinker:

You know how to prioritize, adapt, and stay grounded when things get busy. You’re reliable, organized, and proactive in your approach.

A Team Player at Heart:

You collaborate with respect, take pride in your work, and lift up the people around you. When one team member succeeds, we all do.
