Position: Controls Engineer

Duration: 1-year long term contract + extensions/ direct hire

Locations: Sterling Heights, MI

Pay rate: $40/hr- $49/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Must Haves:

5+ years working as a Controls Engineer

5+ years with Modicon PLC’s

Experience with Siemens PLC’s

Experience working with Atlas Copco equipment

ABB robot experience, troubleshooting or programming

Day to Day: This Controls Engineer is going to support all equipment to make sure it is running, help with issue resolution, make sure it is up to controls standards and troubleshoot when needed. They will be responsible for using plant monitoring software to review cycle times of machinery, review and follow up machinery projects and installations/ Troubleshoot PLC, robots and other machinery problems. They will have to update program backups for machinery. Program new installations of machinery and conveyor systems. Reprogram machinery for engineering changes and improvements.
