Insight Global is searching for an experienced Willow Ambulatory Analyst III to support a healthcare technology team for an enterprise-level hospital system in Maryland. The Willow Ambulatory Analyst III gathers and analyzes user needs to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Epic Willow Ambulatory for the hospital's pharmacy operations. This role involves providing complex application support, documentation, and configuration to facilitate the transition from the legacy RX30 system to Epic Willow Ambulatory, with a target go-live date of Spring 2026. The analyst will propose solutions, build and modify applications, and provide technical guidance to ensure a seamless implementation and operational efficiency.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
Perform and coordinate complex analysis, design, development, testing, and support services for Epic Willow Ambulatory, including voice response, adjudication switch, electronic prior authorization, printing, interfaces, verification, dispensing setup, point of sale, and 340B program.
Oversee day-to-day tracking and resolution of issues related to Willow Ambulatory and Willow Inventory during implementation and post-go-live operations.
Conduct application and impact analysis for new workflows, processes, or system changes, ensuring alignment with pharmacy operations.
Provide complex application support to end users (e.g., pharmacists, pharmacy technicians) and technical guidance to less experienced team members, serving as a point of contact for resolving complex issues.
Lead or participate in the discovery phase (mapping current to future state), build phase (Epic configuration and vendor interface development), testing phase (validating build and connectivity), training phase (end-user communication and training), and go-live phase (command center support).
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including application specifications, analytical reports, training manuals, and status reports.
Make recommendations for system enhancements, integration with other applications, and process improvements to support pharmacy workflows.
Participate in or lead project planning, including estimating costs, timelines, and staffing requirements for the Willow Ambulatory implementation.
Validate application designs under change management protocols and assist in developing departmental policies and procedures for clinical application use.
Mentor and train staff, transferring knowledge on application functionality, design standards, and problem-solving techniques
